When you’re as near to the Heaven’s as Donner Summit, it’s hard to ignore nature’s beauty, but there were just too many incredible things to see on my Independence Day ride from the cabin. So I yanked the phone out and captured the moments whenever I could.

Keeping cool on hot Summer days

We’ve been blessed to have great neighbors who we can call great friends, but we’ve been wondering when the Alexanders (Jami and Rick) would invite us over to swim in their backyard. We last swam in this pool 15 years ago when the original neighbors, Steve and Jolene put it in. We had a relaxing afternoon sipping beers and enjoying great company while keeping our cool.
