Faces in the mirror
June 25th, 2008 · Submitted by Steve · Leave a Comment ·
Once again we were able to sneak up on Patrick with a video camera. This is the kid who doesn’t care what anybody thinks about him. He probably knew the camera was on him the whole time. This time he was practicing his faces in the mirror of a parking lot. This was at Emily’s play at the school.

How to Build a Widget Like This…
May 5th, 2008 · Submitted by Steve · Leave a Comment ·
In response to DB who asked about the widget of my Twitter reader: (Which I’ve placed a screen-grab of here so people will know what the heck I’m talking about in the distant future when it may not be on the top-left of my website.) Basically, it’s a custom designed widget using Sprout consisting of a photo of me holding a piece of cardboard and my Twitter feed placed over the top of it. The Sprout widget scrapes my Twitter feed which I update nearly daily.
To create the widget, I took a bunch of [Read more →]

Freakish Photo Found in Archives

This pic still cracks me up every time I see it:
Flower girl, Kirsten carried the upper half of grandma Becky’s body around for much of the celebration.
I just came across it while digging through the McClellandfamily archives. I moved the entire post of the Pollard wedding (from where this photo came) here.

Archiving the archives
April 28th, 2008 · Submitted by Steve · Leave a Comment ·
If it’s possible to archive archives, this is what I’ve done here. I’ve been bringing forward stories from my old archives page which will slowly shrink and eventually dissapear once all the stories are here. I’ve updated some photos, corrected some typo’s and linked to the [Read more →]

Spring Updates

It’s spring fever…. You don’t quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so! –Mark Twain
With stiff competition this year Emily was not selected for her competitive soccer league. She was sad only briefly (she’ll miss the girls from her team) but then relieved to not have the daily stresses of the league. She’s deciding now if she’ll even play soccer this year. As for me, I won’t miss the politics, the expenses and the huge dedication of time that comes with it. [Read more →]
