Emily has developed a real passion for film.  Her dreams are to direct and produce, so she started with this senior-year film project. Emily had to produce a video that was a couple of minutes long for her “Film as Literature” class.

It was time… time to make another major life change. For Christmas, we brought home a new addition to the family. Introducing Ferris, the Boston Terrier. We actually brought him home and surprised the kids on December 26th. He was 8 weeks old. He weighed just 3 pounds on his first vet visit but was quite healthy. We found out later that his birthday is October 25th (we’ll refer back here to remember at some point in the future.)

Every once in a while I actually look up and notice the design of this blog. Ok, so Emily doesn’t have braces anymore and the above banner was from before Patrick even had braces! He has them off now. Lisa looks exactly the same though. Hey, I know on which side my bread is buttered. Anyway, I guess it’s time for a new banner…sigh.

‘Twas the night before Christmas,
And all through the bar,

Met some friends for a beer.

This is what happens when Lisa’s entire family gets together to go see Christmas lights and the Limo company FAILS! Instead we all go shopping at the mall and visit Santa.

Two local college coaches approached Emily today after the Commissioner’s cup tournament’s final game. The Sacramento Alliance Thunder netted a second place overall in the tourney, and Emily had a great game.

I’m usually coming down Winding Way attacking the group or trying desperately to stay on someone’s wheel. Today I am at the end of a 100 km ride, and just taking it easy by myself. I can tell you with certainty that I have never seen this sign before. Lesson: Stop and smell the roses. Okay, stop and read the signs, eh?
