Things daddy doesn’t want me to forget:
March 14th, 2010 · Submitted by Steve · 1 Comment ·
From the archives of the former Emily’s Corner come these gems to remember…
• I got to go to Disneyland and California Adventure with my mommy and daddy. It was really fun. You can see all the pictures in our L.A. Vacation Album. This was my first time at Disneyland. I want to go again.
• Pink Princess: From the ages of 3 to about 5 I refused to [Read more →]

We walked like Egyptians in March
March 5th, 2010 · Submitted by Steve · Leave a Comment ·
As a Christmas present, Santa brought us tickets to the Egyptian exhibit at the de Young Museum in San Francisco. We finally used them in March. Steve loved it, Lisa tolerated it and the kids ran through it as fast as they could. [Read more →]

Patrick’s Bigfoot
December 7th, 2009 · Submitted by Steve · Leave a Comment ·
Patrick wrote a paper for school about bigfoot. We saved it here because..well, because that’s what we do here. Here’s the paper in its entirety:
The Patterson/Gimlin film saw a bigfoot walking by and it actually looked at the camera.
Most people have never been able to prove that the film was fake.
But scientists really think that he is fake. They think people were dressing up in expensive costumes. [Read more →]

Let’s face it, if they give me lines, I’m going to write the other way. And if they don’t force me to make a certain face in ANY photo I.D. I’m going to make my own face. My kids are fast learners.

It’s all Greek to Dan
September 10th, 2009 · Submitted by Newsboy (Tom) · Leave a Comment ·
Dan McClelland walked Sacramento’s K Street Mall at lunchtime Wednesday, dressed as a Greek fisherman and carrying a sandwich sign promoting the weekend Greek Festival. The walking sign man is reminiscent of depression days.
Organizers of the 46th Greek Festival are concerned about Furlough Fridays affecting first-day attendance. Traditionally, admission is free on Friday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., of the three-day event.
McClelland will carry his signs again today (Thursday) from 11:30 to 1:30, concentrating on the heavily trafficked K and 11th Streets area.

Life, liberty and the pursuit of happy-hour
July 5th, 2009 · Submitted by Steve · Leave a Comment ·
Independence day was celebrated at the cabin with the Wassermanns and Petterle’s. Also Les, Dan, the Killers (Honestly, Amy when all three of us are together in one place at one time, can’t we manage to get a photo together?) Eva and Roger joined us with the kids for a couple of days too. It was a full house, but we had a fun week. We entered the usual float pulled by Mike’s jeep in the parade. Steve road the unicycle in the parade for the first time.
